Welcome members and guests to the SuccessNetwork chapter of BNI.

BNI is not your ordinary networking group. Each of our members is unique to his or her industry and "owns" that business sector. No competitor is allowed to join.

A friendly and congenial atmosphere is the hallmark of any BNI group, and the SuccessNetwork is no exception. But our members are more than just business associates, we are trusted allies in the search for new business.

A structured environment means you get more than just a stack of business cards. Sure, we have open networking, but the key to giving and receiving warm, qualified referrals is in how BNI prepares you to succeed.

Over 600 business referrals since March of 2003 have resulted in thousands of dollars of real, additional business to SuccessNetwork members.

Not leads; referrals. At the SuccessNetwork, we don't pass leads, we give only qualified business referrals from customers who have requested your services from one of our members. So instead of an introduction, you get incremental business!

It all adds up to a good business decision. Join us and lock out your competition.

==== NEWS===

• We had a great marketing committee meeting with some creative and exciting ideas. Ed Delia (thanks, Ed) will be putting together the details for an announcement next Thursday.

• Brian Burlew is also working on a chapter visitation program that will send one of our members each week to a nearby BNI chapter meeting. Our hope is that by gaining knowledge from other chapters, we can implement the best ideas from the best chapters. Thanks, Brian for a great suggestion.

• 100%! I issued a challenge that next week, every member come prepared with at least one referral. We all love testimonials, but referrals are the cornerstone of our group. Please work this week to make our referrals 100% on 1-29-04.

• I learned a valuable lesson last week... sending e-mail to work addresses doesn't help when we're trying to cancel a meeting at 6 AM. If you have a home e-mail address, send it to me and I'll put it into our notification list for meeting cancellations. We take our cue from North Hunterdon High School. If they are closed, we will not have a meeting. If they are on a delay, our meeting is at THE REGULAR TIME.

Jan.15, 2004 UPDATE: Hunterdon Central is closed today and in keeping with our policy (below) we will NOT be meeting today. See you next week!

Jan. 14, 2004 - In the event of snow, we will take our lead from HUNTERDON CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL. If they are closed, we will NOT have a meeting.

If they have a delayed opening, we will meet at our regular time and place.

Beginning Thursday January 15, 2004 Pete Kooiker will assume the duties of president succeeding Marge Rand who has resigned.

Chris Lido will assume the duties of VP for the remainedr of the unexpired term.

A big thanks to Marge and all her hard work!

The SuccessNetwork chapter of BNI now has it's own web site and the leadership team will be updating it regurlarly with news, information and announcements. There are links to the official BNI website and you can even purchase books and audio tapes directly from our site. The directions and contact sections are a great place to refer guests and potential members.

An additional feature is the ability to include your own comments. Feel free to add your thoughts to anything posted on the site... just click the "comments" link at the end of every article.

To enter the member-only area, you will need to sign up by choosing a user name and password (under "Member Help" on the left sidebar). Once you complete the form, we will activate your account and notify you via e-mail.
