The Satin Bow

Sometimes we are asked to do something really pretty and this was one of those rare occasions. Our client makes custom wedding and event stationery products and sells samples online. We gave her a back-end that allows her to add products, categories. and sub-categories of products without having to call us to do it. We also built a custom cart and integrated it with PayPal Payments Standard. If you or someone you know has a wedding in the future, check out Satin Bow's lovely work.

The Knitting Lab
Sometimes friends turn into clients. That's what happened when the owner of this store changed careers and opened The Knitting Lab.
It's always rewarding when avocations become successful vocations and TKL has become just that in under a year of operation.
We did the design and integrated it into a content management system allowing the site owner to update content immediately.

Electronic Specialty Parts

For this project, we kept design to a minimum, except for a little Flash in the header. The client wanted lots of room to add content and an easy back-end with which to do so. The challenging part of the project was coordinating with a database on another server to retrieve search results and then parse the results the way we wanted them.

This project for a legal consulting firm created an interesting challenge: integrating Flash and a complete content-management system. The client is now able to add, edit, delete, and archive content for every section of the site.

La Dolce Gourmet Chocolate and Nuts
La Dolce Gourmet creates hand-made chocolates and a variety of spiced nut treats. We wanted to create a deep, rich feel and reflect the sexiness of chocolate. We chose reds and golds to evoke an emotional response, because after all, isn't that what chocolate is all about?
This is phase one of the project. Full-fledged e-commerce is in the works for a phase two launch in 2005.

Dance Party
You could say this is where it all began. One cold winter evening we were sitting around thinking how depressing the winter months were and how much fun it would be to have a dance party to shake off some of the winter blues.
Logically it followed that if we were going to have a party, a web site should be built. The rest is history.
Two years later we're doing it again. Unfortunately, time doesn't permit us to do a whole new web site, but we thought an update would suffice.

The Introduction
The Introduction.com was a design assignment that was picked up from a designer who hadn't finished in over a year of effort. We re-designed the look, feel and navigation and gave it enough engineering tweeks to make it visible to the search engines.
It is an Internet dating site that grew out of an "analog" business. The owner who had been successful for years in personal introductions, was interested in using her existing database to allow clients to do some of their own selelctions.
Using secure logins and double blind e-mail, the site allows registered users to search and respond on their own. When they find a match, the "analog system" kicks in again. It has also become a source for generating leads.
The site was programmed in Cold Fusion.
