Many web designers today look like actors in a Holiday Inn Express commercial... "I don't know anything about web design, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night." It's a pretty good analogy for what's going on in the web design community. We also call it the "Uncle Bob" approach to web management. Uncle Bob got interested in the web and decided to try out his skills on his own business web site, or worse yet, convinced you to let him build your web site. Now, Bob might be a great guy, but ask yourself this: is he going to be around to update and manage your site? Does he know the nuance of search engine optimization? Is he an artistic and business-grounded designer? If you answered no, it's probably time for a professional. PERFECT i-site does web design and we do it well. But what makes us different is our business-centric approach. We know what motivates people to buy, we understand the real reasons why you should have a web site and help you to determine the business rules to success. Then we translate that thinking into creative and hard-working sites. We like to think web design is a lot like watch making. Few realize (or care) what goes on behind the face. We buy a watch primarily for how it looks and simply expect it to run properly. But open up a watch and you'll find an incredibly complex set of gears and springs. You wouldn't trust your Uncle Bob to make you a watch, would you? |
